Accessibility Statement for Religion and global challenges in the past and present (DA332)
Mode of study
Some of this module’s study materials are online. These materials consist of pages of text with images, audio/video clips (all with transcripts/subtitles), diagrams, interactive media, animations, and multiple-choice self-assessed quizzes. They also include links to external resources, online forums and tutorial rooms. If necessary, online materials can be provided in printed versions. We provide printed materials for some module content; there are also online versions of printed material.
Tuition strategy
This module provides a range of learning events, online tutorials and face-to-face day schools. Each face-to-face learning event offers an online (or other) alternative. Although not compulsory, tutorials and day schools will help you consolidate your learning.
Diagrams and other visual content
The study materials contain some diagrams, graphs and photographs. We provide descriptions of all essential figures.
Finding information
You’ll be required to search for and use third-party material as independent research, and we assess this. We can provide alternatives to assessed independent research material to enable you to meet the module&/courses/da332-accessibility-statement/39;s learning outcomes.
Assessment
This module has five tutor-marked assignments (TMAs) and an end-of-module assessment. As well as written essays, you will be offered a choice of different formats (including audio or video recordings, a poster, and narrated slides/slide casts) for some TMAs.
Feedback
You’ll receive feedback from your tutor on your submitted tutor-marked assignments (TMAs). This feedback will help you to reflect on your TMA performance. You should refer to it to help you prepare for your next assignment.
Schedule
We structure all University modules to a set timetable, and you’ll need time-management skills to keep your studies on track. We’ll support you in developing these skills.
