Accessibility Statement for Critical perspectives on mental health in society (K243)

Mode of study

Most of this module’s study materials are online. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images; audio/video clips of between 2 and 5 minutes (all with transcripts/subtitles); diagrams; interactive media; animations; and multiple-choice self-assessed quizzes. Online materials also include links to external resources, online forums and online tutorial rooms. We provide printed materials for all module content.

Tuition strategy

This module provides a range of learning events, online tutorials and tutor group forums. Although not compulsory, tutorials will help you consolidate your learning.

Working with others

You will not be required to work with other students but you are encouraged to attend your tutor group forum and other tutorials. This includes looking at, and commenting on, others’ work and occasionally reflecting on others’ comments on your work. Module activities also ask for you to share comments for other students to consider.

Diagrams and other visual content

The study materials contain a considerable number of diagrams/graphs/photographs. Reading and interpreting these is an important part of the study of this module We provide descriptions for all essential figures.

Finding information

You could be required to search for, and make use of, third-party material online. We can provide alternatives for required/assessed research material to enable you to meet the learning outcomes of the module.

Assessment

This module has three tutor-marked assignments (TMAs); one interactive computer-marked assignment and an end-of-module assessment (EMA).

Feedback

You’ll receive feedback from your tutor on your submitted tutor-marked assignments (TMAs). This will help you to reflect on your TMA performance. You should refer to it to help you prepare for your next assignment.
